Marvel's Eternals : First review, Pre-Screening

We are ending 2021 with a bang, ever since Marvel Studios started releasing their movies on the big screen. This October, I was able to experience Marvel's Venom 2: Let there be carnage & Shang-Chi: Legend of the ten rings.

Jio's MAMI YRP [Mumbai Film Festival] made it possible for us to attend Marvel's Eternals first pre-screening on the 31st of October, 2021. The movie is set to release soon, on the 5th of November, 2021 and it has made a commotion already.

Since the movie hasn't been released yet, we are NOT allowed to post spoilers. but here are some moments and plot points that I feel are worth writing about.

The Plot

Eternals basically follows the story of eternal beings [The Eternals] that were born on the planet Olympus, with the sole motive to protect the human race from 'monsters' [Deviants] that are on a spree to destroy human life. They serve the supreme being known as Arishem who communicates with them through a glowing sphere that lives inside of their leader, Ajak. The only rule they have to follow is: To not interfere with human life until the deviants were involved. The Eternals were supposed to leave earth and head back to their home planet after they destroyed all the deviants. However, it has been over 5000 years, and they still haven't been summoned to return. The Eternals have been living among us, disguised as regular human beings, the only difference being, they do not age.

An encounter with a deviant that seems different than the ones they knew of, changes everything.

Altogether, it is a beautiful movie with a good plot and a strong portrayal of characters, in my opinion.

The Surprises

These are NOT spoilers, since they have already been revealed at some point on social media pages, including the trailers and MAMI's YRP Facebook page.

Indian Culture

The biggest surprise for me was the portrayal of Indian culture in the movie, right from a Bollywood item number to a wedding and idol worship, a few things about our culture have been shown in a good light.

Inclusion
The movie has not only shown race and gender inclusions but also one of the Eternals is portrayed as a deaf-mute person, still fighting the same with equal power.

Equal Logical Conflict
Usually in movies, we see a clear line between the good and the bad. There are villains and there are heroes. This movie, however, makes us question the theory of the greater good. Every side that is fighting, is fighting for what is right to them and is equally right in their light. Marvel has put the plot together beautifully.

The General Reviews

The general reviews seem rather unfavorable towards the movie as a whole, and every second person claims for it to not do that well, right from the trailers. I would recommend each person to go see the movie to decide for themselves, as these are pretty subjective.

Should I Watch It?

Well, the choice is yours.
The main idea I kept in mind while watching the movie was to have a fair and unbiased opinion.
What I did to give a fair review and watch the movie with a clear mind, was to NOT compare it to The Avengers.
It has taken over a decade to form the base, multiple storylines, multiple universes, and efficient backstories to make The Avengers as impactful and as loved as they are today.
The Eternals are based on the comics under the same name and cannot be compared to the Avengers, being a stand-alone movie.
The Eternals have a lot in store including pure entertainment, wonderful VFX, and an unexpected end credit scene.
You will have to watch it for the entire experience, I feel like it's definitely worth a watch!
Since it is formulated in IMAX, try watching it in IMAX or PVR (Dolby) for the best experience.

Thank you for taking the time to read my first movie review. All the views expressed are my personal opinion for the movie and is not sponsored or biased viewpoint.

SS Bakes - First order FULL REVIEW

When it comes to buying "Cakes", You might think it is all about the looks and also how it tastes- But there is a lot more to it. Here is my first "Cake Review" of a budding at-home baker that lives around my locality- SS Bakes The entire idea behind having a cake during (most) of your celebrations is more than just "kuch meetha" or "Something sweet", it is about living an experience and creating memories- and that is exactly what SSBakes does. Here are the things to look for- while buying cakes and how well SSBakes did at delivering these aspects. 1. Ingredients The ingredients should not be compromised on, since the kind of ingredient determines what goes in the body is harmful or not. The baker Simran uses heavy locally sourced fresh cream (not store-bought whipped cream) pure chocolate (coverture chocolate, not compound chocolate) and fresh fruits while baking.  Rating :  ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2. Freshness Simran takes her orders at least 3 days in advan...

TONIGHT, I END

DISCLAIMER: READER'S DISCRETION IS ADVISED. SENSITIVE CONTENT. Tonight, I end Myself. I wish I could. I really do. And this time I write for me, and not for you. Tonight, I remember about those early mornings I was with you when the first ray of sun-hit morning dew that was the time, I wrote for you. Tonight, but it's not as calm, I see you, here I know It's stupid- these dreams are lucid trying to remind me-- Maybe I still love you. Tonight, I end not yourself, but memories attached to you- I wish I could, I really do. and I no longer, write for you. Tonight, it all comes crashing down as I gaze upon- this dazzled frown reflected right at me--through the mirror Finally, I can see things clearer. Tonight, it is that I finally give up on anything I thought we could be false promises and shady practices remembering how you played me. Tonight, I weep just lying while numb frozen to the thought of you tears trickling up to where they b...

Not good with Words-

I’m not very good with words– neither can i define the feelings i have had… So,  let’s be silly,  Let’s fight, Let’s fall, Let’s Stand up, Together.  Let’s convince,  Let’s pursue, Let’s just be there for, Eachother,  Let’s learn while living, and live through learning.  Let’s make mistakes over and above,  And call it love–
