Abandoned

And we're walking past a road and you see me getting tired.
I stop for a while, it's not like I'd retire--
--Well, someday, for sure, but just not yet,
You saw me stop, you didn't wait.
You started walking faster and saw her then.
She came in her car and swept you off, I saw, and it hurt, that abandonment.
I continued to walk, on the same path,
Without any salt, wanting the best for you.
I wanted you to be happy and I walked ahead, wanting to see you smile, soon.
I got tired walking all that while, my body was shivering.
I was all alone, and my voice was quivering.
 I stopped, I couldn't walk anymore, I didn't retire still,
I just sat there on the road, again,
Hoping that you will --
Find happiness.
A while after my teary eyes, clouded with the mist of sulk,
Saw a face similar to yours, tired and worn out in bulk.
As it came closer, I recognized the face, but the soul I knew, Was fading away.
You said that the car ran out of fuel, and she went along with another Samuel.
And left you alone, amongst the debris in the heat with junk and nothing but short term regrets,
That's when you remembered It was I, that gave you the last glass of water I had,
 while she had 3,
gave you half, and saved the rest, (for herself)
And now that she's gone and you finally see, She wasn't as much as you thought I could be,
and now you realize and meet me half way,
But I am numb, so dumbfounded, I can't say--
I cannot talk for my throat is dry, and there's a limit to how much one can try,
but just then I see a Bus stop by,
and one person is all it can occupy.
Technically it was my call,
there was someone who informed them about my fall,
They sent help for a troubled dame,
And when asked "for whom", I took your name,
I sent you off, with tears in your eyes,
Not in mine,
For I was at a loss--
Of water and words, and feelings too
It's worse for I saw you leave that way,
Even though, you knew, it could accommodate two.

SS Bakes - First order FULL REVIEW

When it comes to buying "Cakes", You might think it is all about the looks and also how it tastes- But there is a lot more to it. Here is my first "Cake Review" of a budding at-home baker that lives around my locality- SS Bakes The entire idea behind having a cake during (most) of your celebrations is more than just "kuch meetha" or "Something sweet", it is about living an experience and creating memories- and that is exactly what SSBakes does. Here are the things to look for- while buying cakes and how well SSBakes did at delivering these aspects. 1. Ingredients The ingredients should not be compromised on, since the kind of ingredient determines what goes in the body is harmful or not. The baker Simran uses heavy locally sourced fresh cream (not store-bought whipped cream) pure chocolate (coverture chocolate, not compound chocolate) and fresh fruits while baking.  Rating :  ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2. Freshness Simran takes her orders at least 3 days in advan...

The Soda Stall

It's hot these days, I need to walk and keep walking until I can quench my thirst. I walk up to a soda stall and say "Ek nimbu masala" -- I like my soda how I like my friends, refreshing and a bit 'chatpata', and yet unwanted on occasions.   Anyway, I sit upon the bench waiting for my drink, While I see a mother come around and sit in front of me. She was with her child and she looked very well off--Fair, tidy, neat and skin taken care of. Her hair in a bun that was tidier than my braid, her fingers so fragile like all the house work is done by a maid. Her child too was dressed neat, in a uniform red-and-blue. He look like an elite, wearing a pair of sunglasses too. Even after so much pomp, she sat in front of me, No class, No judgements, just sheer melancholy. She seemed rather approachable, and I had a word with her.    She didn't seem too overprotective, like the parents these days, or even me, for that matter. If I was a mother I'd want to keep my chil...
